My shortest job ever?

So luck has it I have another job. Another temporary one, yes and even shorter than my last job. Let's just say I'll only be working there for a total of six days and that's it. I applied to another agency a while back and expected that they might take awhile to get back to me seeing as the other agency I applied for last year approached me five months after sending an application to them. Just one month after applying to the new agency and having a sixth sense the other day that they would actually reach me within a day or two, they actually call me asking to start work right away, even just for a very minimal amount of days. They wanted me to start on the very day they rung me up but it wouldn't give me time to prepare myself to check on bus timetables as well as informing the Job Centre to sign off.

First day working was today and the day had its slow moments mostly due to having to go through policy and procedures but thankfully I only covered the essential parts of it. The place has me working in departments covering young children and soon to be parents which is a similar environment to when I was working with the school last year. Thankfully with this role I have quite an involvement with the reception so it's something to add to the CV for sure. The first day was smooth apart from the one accident I got involved in when a visitor at the place fell on me due to unstable balance. Fortunately I had very little harm from this but it certainly was a sudden shock for me.

This role is only to cover someone at the workplace who is away for an operation and sadly, the Jubilee weekend cuts the days I have working there which is why it's only Wednesday-Friday for this week and next week and that will be it. If you ask me, although reigning monarchy for 60 years is certainly no small feat, it's nothing that the whole country should be raving about and I'm willing to say the same thing about the Olympics. Both of these events have disrupted too many things that are/should have been happening this Summer but on the bright side, at least I'm off unemployment for two weeks this Summer.

The Jubilee boosts tourism like fuck and its cool to get time off. The olmypics will be as mad as hell though.
